Arch Hill Mountain Bike Trails

Opened in 2010, these are the closest trails to the CBD (5km riding distance). With over 3km of well maintained trails ranging in grade from “Training Wheels” for beginners,  to the challenging “Steep Street” for those who want to test their fitness, to Super Highway for those who prefer gravity to get them moving – there is something for everyone. For those who want to test their skills both up the hill and down, Tip Track is for you.

The Arch Hill MTB Team is responsible for building and maintaining the trails, promoting their use and putting on cool events that anyone can be part of. All the work is done by volunteers and we would love for you to join us on a working bee or see you at our events!

Keep up to date with regular group rides, events and working bees on our Facebook Page;

2017 Write Up:
On Wednesday Arch Hill was lit up with bike lights and keen riders of all ages as they lined up to ride in the Arch Hill Night Rider. A running start through the playground and down the slide separated people out as riders rushed to be first out onto the course. The competition was tight with riders Peter Bethell, Cosmo Bloor and Isaac Schuurman vying for the top spot with Cosmo managing to take the lead and claiming victory in the Male category. Congratulations to Rebekah Williams for winning the female category. Conditions on the trail were tough, with lots of mud and slippery sections to contend with, but everyone managed it excellently. The night was concluded with vege soup all round made by head chef Peter Stoneham. A big thanks to all who made the effort to come out and join the fun.
