We will have the usual pre-bee-wee-hee ride or you can turn up at 10am for the start of the actually Working Bee stuff – this will also double as a review of the hard work of students from the Pukekohe High School who will spending the 2 days before working on the trails with me (good on you’s!).
So meet at the Mangatawhiri car park at 8.30am if you want to go for a ride, or at 10.00am to rip straight into the work.
Hunua’s MTB Ranger Scott Kusabs will have some tasks for us to get into – tweaking of certain trail features, general maintenance and, if we are lucky, a walk through of one of the new proposed trails close to the parking area.
This type of work can produce a mighty appetite, so – as usual – the Auckland MTB Club will look after you with a high energy lunch and we might even shout a BBQ afterwards thanks to Auckland Regional Parks Southern Sector – but this is only if you let us know you are coming… trails@aucklandmtb.co.nz or 021 665 242
