Hunua Ride and Working Bee This Sunday

Team reflecting
In preparation for next weekend’s round of the National XC Cup at Hunua, we’re heading out this Sunday (3rd February) to do some final tidying up of the course. And of course it would be rude not to have a ride first!

If you’re able to help out we’d love to see you. By way of thanks, the club will provide a high energy lunch to keep you fueled up (as long as you let us know that you’re coming – either by signing up to our Facebook event, or by emailing

Here’s the plan:

9am – Go ride!
11am – Regroup at the car park and get stuck into whatever trimming, lopping or general tidying-up is required.

Meet at the Mangataphiri Dam car park. Feel free to turn up for just the ride, the dig or both. Bring gloves, and water. Tools will be provided.

Driving Directions: Travelling south on SH1, take the Papakura turn-off then head for Hunua Rd. 10 mins out of Hunua, turn left onto Moumoukai Rd. Follow the road up and over the hill (it changes to gravel halfway up) into the Hunuas, then down the other side to the Mangataphiri Dam car park.
