Evening all,
Well, I think may of you would agree that yesterday’s course was pretty tough. Set by Mike May and marked out the day before by Hayden, Mike, Tad and Aidan, it was relentless. Challenging downhills, tough climbs and fire road sections to break it up a bit. Mike and I talked in the week about adding more sections in but I think the shorter lap worked well, even if Tom Fox made it look easy! Check out those times of his.
Race results attached below – note that the final positions of places 10-15 in the Singlespeed cat are no quite right as Simon Yates’ last lap was not punched into the system. I’ll work on that and add in the DNF’s but check out the preliminary results and let me know if there are any other issues.
Thanks again to al the volunteers who helped out in the build up, on the day and afterwards to clear up. The weather was kind to us, the course was great and everyone got a spot prize! What more could you ask for.
I have also attached the series standings after two rounds. I’ll issue the standings after three rounds before the next race and remember, you have to start the final round (and two others) to get a placing. Your best results of rounds 1-4 will be used to determine the final standings after the last race.
The final round is at Hunua. The course will be similar to last year, we’ll have a proper event village and R&R will be there again. Wallis Cycles are sponsoring the final round and we’ll have loads and loads of spotties as I’ve been hoarding some stuff at each race. Come along and be part of it on 7th November as we crown the 2010 Auckland Champions.
