Righty-ho. The most important evening in a club’s annual calendar; the AGM. Admittedly it is not the most exciting of evening usually but it is still the core meeting at which committee members come and go, new blood and life is pumped into the club and important decisions are ratified. There are some big decisions facing the club this year. With a small committee carrying a heavy workload there have been inevitable creaks and groans and the status quo is not sustainable. The AGM this year will have a fundamental bearing on the future of the club and what form it will take. To ratify any changes we need a quorum among members which is at least 10% of paid-up members to vote in favour of a proposed change.
Prior to the AGM I will highlight the key decisions facing the committee and identify possible outcomes for discussing and voting on. It would be great to see as many of our members and interested non-members at the AGM as possible.
