Arch Hill MTB trails – Grand Opening

This article is about the trail opening. Please visit our Arch Hill MTB Trails page for uptodate info on the trails, working bees and events.

The Grand Opening of the first officially sanctioned MTB trails in Auckland City is planned for Sunday May 30th at 12 noon. The Auckland MTB Club will be on-hand with a sausage sizzle, rain/sun shelters and a rep from the local community board (which has strongly supported the new trails) will open the trails.

We have waited for so long for this moment it would be great to get as many riders as long as possible to turn up and show support for what Auckland City has achieved.

More details as we get them but for now, keep Sunday 30th May free and come along to this.

  1. A huge tree now blocks both sides of the track in the middle of the loop. It will need a chainsaw to clear it.

  2. Awesome, the tree is clear.

  3. I love this track, but the first corner has turned into a mud bath. I walk around it to save my drive train. I’d love to see a bit of drainage put it. What does everyone else think? Is this up to the council or if this is up the club is there a track day?
