Happy New Year! 1st newsletter of 2010, lots to talk about….
January 13, 2010Happy New Year to you all. I hope you each had a great festive season and managed to get in plenty of riding wherever you ended up. We hit the trails in Tauranga, Rotorua, Christchurch, Alexandra and Naseby and had a great time and caught up with some club members on the way. Thanks for waiting for me 
by the way, maybe this year I’ll be able to get back into decent shape, we’ll see. 2009 finished on a high note with some cracking events rounding out the year and there is already a lot on the horizon for 2010. Here is a smattering of stuff that I thought you might be interested in.

2009 R&R Sport – Auckland MTB Club Race 1 Final Results

Pretty much as the title suggests, I have tweaked the results to remove the two Geoff Buysmans, added in the lost Aiden Potter and removed the 4min wonder-lap of Joseph Wright to sort the U17 mens times.
Round 2 coming up on 22nd November at the private playground that is Slater Rd (and maybe Marquita will be there to show off her gold GT!!). We’re struggling to fit in a pre-ride due to other events lined up but there will be a wet weather course or a dry weather course and the final one will be chosen the day before. It might save the abandoned cars littering the farm trails like last time!
Enter online up to the Friday night at Midnight before the race [I got my am's and pm's right this time ] or you can enter on the day but the on the day entries are a little more expensive.

Some important info on the 2009 R&R Sport – Auckland MTB Club XC Spring Series.
September 15, 2009Some important info on the 2009 R&R Sport – Auckland MTB Club XC Spring Series.
There has been a last minute date change so the series now looks like this:
Round 1 – Hunua October 11
Round 2 – Slater Road November 22
Round 3 – Woodhill December 6
Those of you that have already entered should have an email from me already. For those that had not got around to it, the online entry system will be open again once we have changed the event details. An updated entry form will be online this week and there will be entry forms in a bike shop near you within the week.
So the dates have changed a bit but it’ll be another great series with some tough battles in all the classes as racers fight for the prize money (and bragging rights!). Come and give it a go, if you think you’re hard enough of course
